From Becky Ashin — Another year is coming to a close. The year 2021 brought many exciting new changes to The Women of Quail Creek, and 2022 will continue to expand new endeavors that will add to our members enjoyment of our club.
TWOQC now has GroupWorks to improve our communication with members and provide announcements for our activities. Wonderful small group events supporting women having fun and learning new things. Funding and Giving is now streamlined into a new process to enhance TWOQC fundraising and provide funding based on our members requests.
It is so wonderful that we are able to meet again in large group settings. The Javelina Hoedown, Roaring 20’s luncheon and Holiday luncheon were so successful and fun. Many more will be coming in 2022.
FOOD DRIVE UPDATE: In conjunction with the holiday luncheon, the food drive benefiting the Sahuarita Food Bank was a big success! Our members donated $711 dollars in cash and between the Quail Creek community and TWOQC, we donated 1,166 pounds of food. The food bank volunteers were very pleased with the results! Thank you for your generosity in helping our local families at this important time of year.
As my term as President is ending, I’d like to thank the 2021 Board for their tireless time and energy to ensure we represented our membership and listened to your interests. There are also so many ladies who contribute to TWOQC as Coordinators and on Committees that I’d also like to thank. It takes you, our membership, to ensure that this large club of over 300 women meets its mission of giving, learning and engaging.
Special thanks to Sandy DInnocenti, Secretary, Barb Hunsinger, Community Outreach Director and Deb Melton, Publicity Director for serving on the 2020 and 2021 Boards. Your enthusiasm and support will be missed.
And finally, welcome to our new 2022 Board, headed by Diane Gordon, President. I know you will do an amazing job of leading TWOQC.
∴ LOOKING FOR PRESIDENT-ELECT ∴
Our election occurred at the Holiday Luncheon. TWOQC welcomes Connie Iobst as Secretary, Peggy McGee as Director of Community Outreach, and Jane Gold as Director of Publicity. We still need a candidate for President-Elect. The future of TWOQC depends on finding someone to step up for this position. The year as President-Elect is a great way to prepare for the Presidency in 2023. If you have an interest, please contact Diane Gordon at president@womenqc.com and find out more about the position.

∴ HOLIDAY BREAK ∴
The Women of Quail Creek Executive Board of Directors and Leadership Team will enjoy the traditional annual holiday break from December 19 through January 9.
Business as usual will resume on January 10, 2022. CALENDAR
We wish our members, community, subscribers and their families a happy, healthy, and joyous holiday. Thank you for your support of all that we do because without your continued support, we would not enjoy our many successes as we reach out to help others within our community. You help us make it all happen, and we are very grateful for each and every one of you.
∴ Community Outreach: SPRING FLING CLOTHES SWAP ∴
SAVE THOSE CLOTHES! In March, the Community Outreach Committee will be holding a Spring Fling Clothes Swap party at the Madera Clubhouse. What’s a “clothes swap”, you ask? In a nutshell, you donate your unwanted (but GOOD condition!) clothes, purses, jewelry, and accessories to the party, and in return you can “shop” for free and take anything that suits your fancy! This is a fun way to rotate your closet and bring home some new-to-you pieces! Any remaining items will be donated to Dazee’s Consignment Shop where the proceeds go to benefit Genesis House, a local battered women’s shelter. On the shopping day, we will also be requesting donations to support this worthwhile charity.
Details will follow after the first of the year, but in the meantime, please SAVE your clothing items and accessories to bring to the swap!
