DUE$
The clock is ticking faster and faster. Please get those 2016 dues paid by January 31 so you don’t miss out on getting the Friday Morning Message in your email box each week.
Checks for $25 made payable to TWOQC can be dropped at Patti Giannasi’s house, 1232 N Rams Head Road, at any time—she has a box by the door so you don’t have to worry whether she is home or not. Registration forms can be found in TWOQC’s slot in the hallway as well as on the website. [MEMBERSHIP FORM]
MONTHLY MEETING
The monthly meeting will be held at 10:00am in the Madera ballroom on Monday, January 25. Reminder… this is not an evening meeting.
Come hear Shirley Pinkerton entertain us with the full story of the historical Arizona bandit queen, Pearl Hart, and how her life would take a turn for the worse upon meeting her swaggering and seductive gambler husband. Link: Bandit Queen of Arizona
FASHION SHOW
♥ TICKET SALES ♥ There are only 35 tickets left for the February 12 Fashion Show. They will be on sale in the Madera lobby from 9-10 on January 25, just before our meeting. Tickets are $25 each, cash or checks payable to TWOQC Charity Account. They can also be obtained by calling Nancy Jacobs at 970-946-3910.
- Tickets for the 50-50 and basket raffles will be on sale at the same time.
- Raffle tickets cost $1 each, 6 for $5, 14 for $10, or 30 for $20. Cash or checks.
- For the 50-50 raffle, one does not have to be present to win.
- For the baskets for which winners will be announced during the Fashion Show, you must be there when your name is called.
If you buy your raffle tickets early, you can put your name and phone number on them ahead of time. For the basket raffle, you might consider using address labels to make filling out the tickets easier. If you can’t get out to buy tickets, call Ginny Hutcheson at 520-906-0930 and she will even deliver them!
♥ DECORATIONS ♥ We don’t need any more cardboard rolls or wrapping paper—thanks to all who responded to that request. Now we need empty and cleaned 2-liter soda bottles as well as ribbon in any color, 1 inch or wider. Baskets and raffle prizes are still needed. Perhaps a couple of you could get together and assemble a pasta, wine or spa basket. Not good at assembling baskets? Just give us the contents and we will make up the baskets.
♥ DONATIONS ♥ Prizes, baskets, soda bottles and ribbon may be dropped off at Ginny Hutcheson’s house, 2494 E. Bluejay Bluff Lane at any time. Please put your name, address and items donated on the form in the box so we will be able to acknowledge your donations. Or you may bring donations to the meeting on January 25. [FASHION SHOW]

BABY SHOWER
Planning is underway for this year’s event. The theme for the 2016 National Guard Baby Shower is “Read Me A Story.”
The shower will be held on June 25 at noon at the Air National Guard Base in Tucson. Please join us in helping with our endeavor! Our next meeting is Feb 8th at 11:00am at the Kino Conference Room.
All items for Baby are gladly accepted including cash donations. Any donations can be dropped off at Pamela Rodgers home: 2640 E Sawyer Rd (drop box on front porch!). Or call Pamela at 520-561-7969 for pickup in the Quail Creek/Green Valley area.
Remember, if you want to attend the shower in June you must be a member of the committee.
HOMELESS & HOSPITALIZED VETERANS
Don’t forget to save those travel sized toiletries for the homeless and hospitalized veterans. Note cards and calendars are much appreciated too. Here is the latest thank you we received from the VA acknowledging our donations from our December meeting: VA Thank-You Note.
You may bring items to the meeting on January 25. If you won’t be at the meeting, you may drop them at Peggy’s house at 1908 E Longspur Place.
COUPONS
Since they are doing a combined December/January shipment, coupons for overseas should expire December 1 or later and for the National Guard February 12 or later.
Expired or soon to expire coupons should be dropped off at Peggy Richmond’s (2731 E. Eba Court) or Judy Poffenbarger’s (2390 E Bluejay Bluff Lane) houses.
Clipped and sorted coupons for the National Guard only may also be left at Lois and Janet Connell’s house (539 N. Ramos Lane.) [COUPON PREP]
