- Lotions, note cards, napkins, tea towels, candles and mini candles
- Socks, powder, or lotions for a personal “foot” basket
- Hand crafted items

Think you are not good at assembling baskets? Just give us the contents and we will make up the baskets.

“Read Me A Story”
We are off to a great start this year! We already have 21 Moms signed up, 11 of them being the actual Military staff! Donations are starting to come in! Look for donation boxes in the Madera Clubhouse and Anza starting mid-February.
The baby shower this year will be held on Saturday, June 25 at noon at the Air National Guard Base in Tucson. Together we can make this the best shower to date!
Our next committee organization meeting is Monday, Feb 8 at 11:00 am in the Kino Conference Center. This meeting is open to all who want to help! See you there.
Donations can be dropped off at Pam Rodgers’ home, 2640 E Sawyer Rd (drop box on front porch) or call Pam at 520-561-7969 for pickup in the Quail Creek/Green Valley area. [BABY SHOWER]
HOMELESS & HOSPITALIZED VETERANS
Don’t forget to save those travel sized toiletries for the homeless and hospitalized veterans. Note cards and calendars are much appreciated too. Here is the latest thank you we received from the VA acknowledging our donations from our December meeting (THANK YOU NOTE). Bring items to the meeting on January 25.
If you won’t be at the meeting, you may drop them at Peggy’s house at 1908 E Longspur Place. She is going to the VA on January 27.
COUPONS
Since they are doing a combined December/January shipment, coupons for overseas should expire December 1 or later and for the National Guard February 12 or later.
Expired or soon to expire coupons should be dropped off at Peggy Richmond’s (2731 E. Eba Court) or Judy Poffenbarger’s (2390 E Bluejay Bluff Lane) houses.
Clipped and sorted coupons for the National Guard only may also be left at Lois and Janet Connell’s house (539 N. Ramos Lane.) [COUPON PREP]
MASSING OF THE COLORS
If you want to pay tribute to not only our Nation’s veterans but also fire fighters and policemen, come to the Sahuarita High School Auditorium tomorrow from 10 a.m. – noon. The Military Order of the World Wars will be presenting their annual Massing of the Colors to honor our unsung heroes. Entertainment will be by the Gatekeepers who had us all on our feet when they sang God Bless the USA at our November 2014 meeting. [Click *HERE* for more information]
HONOR FLIGHT FOR WWII and KOREAN WAR VETERANS
The next flight to the World War II and Korean War memorials in Washington DC will be in April. Think about writing a letter to these vets for their “Mail Call” on their way home.
Thank them for their service and honor them, please. The letters and notes they receive mean so much to them and let them know they have not been forgotten. More detailed information to come.
