2017 Applications for new members and renewals for current members will be available at the October 31 luncheon or you may go directly to the website (click here to access: Membership Form) to complete the application. You may bring your completed application and check to the luncheon, mail to Carol Mutter at 482 N. Alexis Loop or place both in the Women of Quail Creek box at Carol’s front door.
Online Member Photo Book
TWOQC is preparing an online photo book of its members. Come to the October 31 membership luncheon photo-ready and your head-shot will be added to the yearbook of paid members for 2017. Access this link to the Photo Book.
The photos appear as a page in alphabetical order (by first name) with only your name and no further identifying information via a link from our website.
We hope this will help our growing membership become better acquainted and also help some of our aging memories!
The Perfect Wrap
If you have not seen “The Perfect Wrap” you will be able to get your first look and opportunity to purchase at the October 31 luncheon.
“The Perfect Wrap” is not just USA made but is handmade by several Quail Creek women, making it Quail Creek, Arizona-USA made. It is wearable in a variety of ways and complements any figure. Made from a variety of fabrics, the wraps are perfect for either casual or more dressy occasions. They are also a perfect addition to a woman’s travel wardrobe, being lightweight and packable.
Proceeds from sales of “The Perfect Wrap” are going to Youth on Their Own (YOTO) the newest beneficiary of support of The Women of Quail Creek.
2017 Scholarships

Clothing & Household Goods Drive for Homeless Veterans
Blind Veterans Need Some Help
The VA Hospital blind veterans’ rehabilitation program is asking for new wooden clip clothespins. They also need new plain white crew neck T-Shirts in men’s sizes L, XL, 2X, and 3X and ladies in sizes M and L for crafts projects. If you are able to help, please bring donations to the clothing drive on October 15 (please mark them for Blind Veterans) or drop them at Peggy McGee’s house, 1908 E Longspur Place.
Lucky Winners at the September Program
All photos from the September program can be accessed from the Photo & Videos page. Congratulations to the lucky door prize winners: (L-R) Mary Lou Kiger, Rosie Epler, Lori Whitman, Ann Nease, and Jeanne Stevens. (Photo credit: Diane Quinn)
Fashion Show
Think purple for our fashion show with its Power of Purple theme. Why purple? you might be asking. Purple is the color the American Cancer Society uses to represent all cancers.
Crafts items with hues of purple would make ideal raffle prizes. Actually craft items in any color will be great. We are also looking for donations of purple ribbon for bows.
We are still seeking a piano player too. Perhaps you know a member or non-member who would be willing to share her talents on February 24. Please have her contact Carol Shelton at tubaccarol@aol.com if she is willing to play for us.
Fashion Show tickets will go on sale at our holiday luncheon on December 12.
Coupons
Coupons for the National Guard should expire October 10 or later. Coupons destined for overseas should expire August 1 or later. Please, no unclipped coupons, to include those for restaurants.
Coupons may be dropped off at Judy Poffenbarger’s (2390 E Bluejay Bluff Lane) or Peggy Richmond’s (2731 E. Eba Court) at any time. Both have a box by their front doors. And coupons may be left on one of the tables at the back of the ballroom on October 31.
Thank you to all the ladies that have taken time to make this contribution happen. [PREPPING COUPONS]
