TWOQC APRIL PROGRAM
Remember the program on Monday, April 24 at 6:30 p.m. will be held at the Kino Conference Center (next to the Grill).
Rocio Cespedes Patel from Tubac Olive Oil will bring the wonderful flavors of her olive oils and balsamic vinegars.
This is a perfect opportunity to learn more about these delicious and healthy local products.
Join us for the celebration of TWOQC 2017 scholarship awardees on Monday, April 24, 6:30 p.m. at the Kino Conference Center. The selection process began in October with a January 31 deadline for applications. All applicants were women with strong academic records, and who demonstrated a commitment to service. All had well-defined future goals. Selecting six candidates for formal interviews in March was difficult. TWOQC Scholarship Committee is proud to present our awardees and future leaders:
Nathania Duarte Sahuarita High School
Daniela Reynolds Sahuarita High School
Carissa Gibson Walden Grove High School
Jenna Livingston Walden Grove High School
2017 BABY SHOWER — Our Tiniest Patriots
Welcome to our 3 newest arrivals! Miss Alessandra Nicole Lopez, Master Hezekiah Gilliland, Master Anthony Todd Dodge. They bring our total to 7 newborns. Our many thanks to all who visited us at the Grill last Monday night for donations to the shower. It was a complete success.
We will be taking any donations of outfits, onesies, diapers, wipes and baby wash until May 9.
Please bring your donations to the program on Monday or drop off in the box at Madera Clubhouse. Contact Pam Rodgers at (520) 561-7969 with any questions.
HOMELESS & HOSPITALIZED VETERANS
There will be a table at the back of the room for donations for veterans. In addition to the travel sized toiletries for homeless veterans, please consider bringing disposable eating utensils. Perhaps you have some left-over holiday napkins, plates from St. Patrick’s Day or Easter, plastic or Styrofoam cups. Packages may be opened.
Hospitalized veterans enjoy playing cards, puzzle books, paperbacks, especially on military topics and Westerns, and all occasion cards.
FOOD BANK COLLECTION
There will be totes for groceries for the Food Bank Collection. Items on their wish list include: peanut butter, baking products and canned meats. Cleaning and paper/plastic products, hygiene/grooming items and grocery gift cards are always much appreciated.
You may also bring checks payable to Green Valley Community Food Bank or make credit card donations at the meeting.
TWOQC POLO SHIRTS
Polo shirts in a variety of sizes will be on sale at the back of the room prior to the meeting. Cost is $20, cash or check payable to TWOQC.
«YOUTH ON THEIR OWN»
YOTO is still in shock and recovering from the break in and theft of their supplies for their students. They are very grateful for our help and can still use the following items to replenish their stock.
If you would like to help provide non-perishable food for homeless teens please drop your offerings off at Diane Quinn’s house, 2276 E Skywalker Way «map». The YOTO committee will be taking your donations to YOTO offices on May 1.

2018 FASHION SHOW
It might sound a long, long way off, but as we all know, time does sneak up. Plans are being made for that long off date – theme, key helpers, and soon many other decisions to be made. This year more committees will be established meaning more volunteers will be needed. One goal this year is to see new faces on “the runway”. It’s not too early to volunteer as a model, model assistant, to help at the reception desk to name just a few options. Please email Carol Shelton «Fashion Show Chair» to volunteer (include your area of interest and contact number). Or fill out the short Volunteer Form by clicking «HERE».
