February Program: 10:00 a.m. on the 26th
Another week has flown by and we’re now in mid-February. Our next member program is in 10 days. Shannon Stone will join us to speak about the Tubac Presidio State Historic Park on Monday, February 26 at 10:00 a.m.
2018 Baby Shower for Military Families
The baby shower is now blessed with 22 families registered. Our next planning meeting is not until March, but the donation box is in the Madera Clubhouse lobby every day. We are still in need of diapers, wipes, outfits, onesies, baby wash and powder.
The next baby bottle donation table is scheduled for tonight (before the Jimmy Buffett concert) in the Madera Clubhouse lobby from 5:00 – 6:45 p.m. Please stop by and say ‘hello’ and maybe donate some spare change or dollars into the baby bottles!
If you would like to help with decorating, inventory, shopping or other committees, please contact Kathi Krieg at (520) 625-5419.
Pictured are members of the baby shower committee who met recently for a planning session. Next meeting: March 14 from 10-11:30 a.m. in the Kino Conference Center.

Field Trip: Monday, March 26
Don’t miss your chance to get your seat for the March 26th field trip to Tumacacori Mission and the Tubac Presidio. Reservations are available now for TWOQC members only (so we can make sure all the members that want to attend get a chance). If any seats are left after the February 26th program, the seats will be opened up to the public.
Member price for the trip is $40 and gets you guided tours at each site, a wonderful lunch at The Italian Peasant restaurant, and your bus ride (including gratuity).
To make your reservation now, contact Peggy McGee at pjmcgee@cox.net or (520) 207-6188. Reservations can also be made at the February 26th program. If you can’t make it to the program and would like to reserve your seat, please contact Peggy.
Requests from Membership
Would you like to help as a Greeter at the TWOQC program, 10:00 a.m. on February 26? Greeters hand out name tags, help at the guest book, collect membership dues, assist with door prize sign-up and warmly welcome our TWOQC members to the program. Please email Angie Werner (membership@womenqc.com) by Monday, February 19, if you would like to help.
Membership is gathering historical information and needs your help. We are asking each member to click THIS LINK to fill out a very short form with your name and year you joined TWOQC. Thank you to those who have done this from our previous request. We appreciate your help and support. (This short form is also available under the Events/Notices tab in the Menu/Navigation Bar.)

The Program Committee is exploring ideas for future programs and field trips. If you have an idea for consideration, please use THIS FORM.
Your contact information is optional, however if the committee has questions about submitted suggestions, providing your contact information would be beneficial. (This form is also available under the Events/Notices tab in the Menu/Navigation Bar.)
Member Spotlight: Jana S. Eaton, Ed. D.
Jana and her husband, Leonard, moved to Quail Creek 12 years ago from Chadds Ford, PA. Both are lap swimmers and avid users of the Anza Athletic Club.
Jana and Leonard love to travel and have enjoyed California, Utah Parks, Puerto Vallarta, Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Chile, Argentina, Uruguay and most recently, Brazil. They will be traveling to eastern Europe this summer.
Jana is a water-colorist but has not painted much in the past couple of years due to her almost full-time work as the President of the Board of Directors for OLLI-UA (encompassing 1,300 members on 4 campuses). She and her husband facilitate the Great Decisions foreign policy class in OLLI-UA on the Green Valley Campus.
Jana’s doctoral dissertation (in 2003) targeted education, Islamism, and sociopolitical stability in Russia culminating in her book, Education Decentralization in Four Russian Federation Republics: A Sociopolitical Analysis of Reform, 1991-2002.
