President’s Message
I, as, I suspect many of you, have spent a lot of time in reflection over the last six to seven months. I’ve gone through old photographs and boxes of memories, looking back on happy times that included both friends and family. I have thought a lot about our world and dreams either realized or deferred. Along the way, I have been introduced to new thoughts and new ways of interacting with my place in this world. Through all of those long-gone moments and more recent ones, I have learned that when you are down you need to look for one bright spot, one bright light that brings a smile to your face and tells you to keep going because there is more beauty to life than we realize.
Today’s news is full of tragedy; fires, rains, fighting and loss. But it is also full of birth, renewal, music, and camaraderie. Even when it is hard, I choose to dance to the music and drive my car with my radio loud while I sing some outrageously upbeat song.
My wish for all the women of our club is to dance to the music, sing that silly song, put out the fires and be together – even six feet apart.
Watch for a Survey Coming to Your Email
A survey from TWOQC President Elect Becky Ashin will be arriving in member’s email accounts next week. This survey, provided by SurveyMonkey, will only take 1 minute to complete. (Be sure to check your spam file.)
Your input will help us continue to meet the needs of our organization and you, our valued member. We’re hoping our entire membership will respond. Thank you in advance for participating.

Drive-Thru Fun!
It was SO good to see all of you who cruised by for the “We Miss You Drive-Thru” last Friday morning! Between the two locations, we had approximately 125 members who came to get their new name badge and the board’s appreciation gift. Almost everyone used it as an opportunity to renew their dues for 2021 as well!
The board member volunteers had a fun time greeting everyone and we received lots of positive feedback from the members as well. In case you missed the fun, SAVE THE DATE for the next drive-thru: Friday, November 6th, from 9 – 11 a.m. (details to follow in future correspondence).
Youth On Their Own
Thank you, again… to all who continue to help the YOTO youths with your donations. YOTO during the month of October is requesting help to collect socks for the YOTO students. Socks are one of the most sought-after items in the YOTO Mini Mall, and unfortunately, they also require regular replacement which can be costly for the students. YOTO believes that everyone deserves clean, comfortable well-fitting socks. YOTO’s goal this year is to collect 3,000 pairs of socks for Youth On Their Own students! Socks must be new and in men’s and women’s sizes only – no children’s socks, please. Please donate a variety of colors, patterns and sock types as well as white athletic socks.
We know how much you value the well-being of youth in our community and in providing for their essential needs. Financial donations are welcome as well for purchase of socks. Your donations can be dropped off at the following homes.
Sue Ann O., YOTO Chair – 531 N. Keyes Rd
Karen B. – 475 N. Keyes Rd
Jane G. – 1694 N. Dry Springs
