PINK POLO SHIRTS

If you are going to the Flying Leap Winery on Monday, please consider wearing your pink polo shirt.

The latest order of shirts was shipped earlier this week and is expected to arrive today, March 24. You will be contacted when they arrive to arrange payment and pick-up.

FIELD TRIP TO FLYING LEAP WINERY

Just a reminder to email Kathe Alves at «fieldtrip@womenqc.com» if you will not be able to make the winery trip so we don’t feel like we are leaving anyone behind when the buses pull out promptly at 9:00 a.m. All bus riders need to arrive at 8:30 and no later than 8:40.

Reminder – bathroom facilities are minimal at the winery and you will definitely want to take this into consideration prior to boarding the buses! The trip to Elgin is estimated from one to 1.5 hours duration each way. Wear comfortable shoes as the ground may be uneven and consider bringing a hat for sun protection. Bring $$ – change, checks or real dollars if you want to participate in the baby bottle competition.

Flying Leap is offering a 10% discount on wine purchases! Here’s looking forward to a great day.

MILITARY BABY SHOWER — Our Tiniest Patriots

Welcome baby Leon born on March 7 at 7 lbs, 7 oz. Our blessings are growing! We are 8 weeks from our event, and really busy with preparations.

Donations are coming in and are much appreciated! If you wish to donate we will be accepting items until May 15. Please drop them at the box at the Madera Clubhouse or at Pam Rodgers front porch. «map» If you are in the Green Valley area and want us to pick up your donation, please call 520-561-7969.

Our next planning meeting is Wednesday, March 29 at the Kino conference room at 1:00 p.m.

HOMELESS & HOSPITALIZED VETERANS

Because we are not having a regular program this month due to the field trip, Peggy will take items to the VA again in mid-April. Those with items to donate for the hospitalized veterans (books, note pads, calendars, greeting and playing cards) or homeless veterans (toiletries, bottled water, snack items, new underwear and socks) may drop them off at 1908 E. Longspur Place at any time. If no one is at home, it is ok to leave donations in the courtyard. «map»

HONOR FLIGHT #23

Unfortunately the Honor Flight #23 for May 6-8 has been postponed until September 2017 due to increased prices. Kay Robinson will continue to collect letters to the veterans and hold them until the September flight. You may give your letters to Kay at the April TWOQC program or deliver to 898 N. Kenneth Drive. «List of Honor Flight Veterans»  «Map to Kay’s»

We wish the best for these veterans and hope they will all make the September flight. Thank you for your support of our veterans.

CONCERT TO BENEFIT HONOR FLIGHT

SAVE THE DATE: Saturday, April 1 from noon to 2:00 p.m. at the Shoppes at La Posada. This is the 4th annual outdoor concert to benefit Honor Flight Southern Arizona. You will be able to meet veterans who have experienced the flight to Washington DC.

FACEBOOK FLYERS

Not a Facebook user? That’s ok! Facebook is a FREE, public venue where we boast and brag about our events and community efforts, and also to tap into our community for support. If you would like to see the 100+ flyers on TWOQC’s Facebook page, you can view them all in one photo album.

TWOQC’s Facebook page was established in 2014 however the posts & flyers date back to almost the beginning of the club’s chartered date. See the flyers in random order: «TWOQC’s flyers on Facebook». That link is also available on the «Photos & Videos» page.
