Does he like to BBQ? How about a pocket apron with a pocket filled with wonderful seasonings and BBQ sauce?

Yes, It’s Back to School Time for YOTO
We know that many students just finished the school year but the preparation for next year has begun already at Youth On Their Own (YOTO). It’s time for the annual school supply drive and TWOQC will once again help support the effort.
If you would like to contribute to support a young homeless YOTO participant staying in school please bring any of the following to the luncheon on June 25. Not coming to the lunch? Drop your contribution off at Diane Quinn’s house, 2276 E. Skywalker Way.
YOTO’s wish list for school supplies includes:
- Adult sized backpacks
- Flash drives
- Composition notebooks
- Highlighters
- Pens/Mechanical pencils
Not sure what to buy but want to help? Consider writing a check payable to YOTO. TWOQC will deliver it and make sure you get a receipt for your tax-deductible contribution.
We are seeking a few volunteers to help with digitizing some of TWOQC’s history books. The project would entail taking pictures of pages in the books, and organizing & labeling the pictures so that they can be uploaded to individual Google albums.
If you would like to participate on this committee (we will also need a Chair) or have questions about the project, please contact Webmaster@womenqc.com.
Our next Honor Flights will be in September and October. Please begin writing notes of “thanks for your service” etc. The dates, names and number of veterans on each flight will be available closer to the time of the flight.
Thank you to all who wrote letters to the veterans on the May Honor Flight.
The family of a baby boy due on July 9 is hoping to get a crib for their new baby. If anyone has a crib that is no longer needed, please consider donating it. A receipt for tax purposes can be provided. Someone with a truck will pick it up and deliver it to the VA. If you can help, contact Peggy McGee at pjmcgee@cox.net or (520) 207-6188.
