∴ DEBI’S PRESIDENTS MESSAGE ∴
This will be the last time that I write as President of TWOQC and share the musings of my heart. I am so grateful to have been TWOQC’s President for the past twenty-two months. The Women of Quail Creek move me! As I remember all of the good works that members have accomplished over the years, I am in awe. Every donation, work of the heart, moments laboring on a committee, hours shared planning events, spending time with members who have become friends is like a pebble that is dropped in a pond. The good efforts our members have put forward ripple outward to places unknown. And those ripples have the opportunity to change lives. I know our members have changed mine.
Please welcome our 2026 TWOQC Board of Directors.
- President: Janet Shropshire
- President Elect: Joan Brown
- Secretary: Teresa McMonnies
- Treasurer: Pat Holmes
- Director of Community Outreach: Roxanne Housley
- Director of Membership: Nancy Valdez
- Director of Programs: Martha Parsons
- Director of Publicity: Inna Shames
- Director of Scholarship: Deb Melton
I also wish to thank the Leadership Team for their dedication to The Women of Quail Creek: Marianne Cobarrubias, Lynne Carr, Sandi Beecher, Pam Hartwell-James, and Lois Hagland. You are dear to my heart.
I leave the Board knowing that these devoted women will take great care in leading TWOQC into 2026.
May the new year bring joy, moments of delight, and a shared caring for the world in which we live.
Debi Gutknecht
TWOQC’s Outgoing President
∴ COMMUNITY OUTREACH ∴

Our committee is very grateful for the outpouring of support for the Angel Heart Pajama Project. We collected more than 300 sets of pajamas and books along with $150. Thank you for your continued support.
In January, we will begin collecting items for HOPE RISING Arizona from their wish list. HOPE RISING Arizona provides long-term services to young survivors of sex trafficking and exploitation. It is the only residential restorative care sanctuary for adult female sex-trafficking survivors in Southern Arizona. Their wish list includes:
- Gift cards to Walmart, Target, Amazon and Speedway Gas (for their outings & medical appointments)
- Personal Care items such as shampoo, conditioners, toothbrush/toothpaste, hair brushes, curling irons and feminine hygiene products
- Education and Art Supplies including notebooks, mechanical pens and pencils, sketch books and craft supplies
If interested in donating to this project but are unable to purchase these items, send checks to TWOQC, Attn: Community Outreach, PO Box 395, Green Valley, AZ 85614. Please add Hope Rising in the memo line of your check.
