Clothing & Household Goods Drive for Homeless Veterans
Tomorrow is the big day for our annual clothing and household goods drive to help homeless veterans in the Tucson area. Even if you don’t have anything to donate this year, you can still help by making a monetary donation, cash or checks payable to Voluntary Service. There will be a donation bin on the table. All donations should be brought to the Madera front parking lot between 9 & 11:00 a.m.
We need warm bodies! If you have found that you’re available we need additional volunteers to help at the clothing drive on Saturday, so please contact Laura Colbert on her cell (520) 373-4791. We would sincerely appreciate anyone who can help out!
Anyone who has furniture to donate for formerly homeless veterans as they move into an apartment may call Daron Cross at 429-6867 to arrange for pick-up. Because the apartments are relatively small, they cannot accept king-size beds, triple dressers or large couches. Other last minute items to consider are: granola bars and bottled water, pet food and kitty litter, westerns and books on military topics. Paperbacks preferred. 2015 Clothing Drive and volunteers:
