October Membership Brunch
It would be “spooktacular” for you to come to the October 31 membership brunch photo-ready so your headshot can be added to the member photo book of paid members for 2017. (Sans costume for the headshot, of course.)

Food Bank Collection
Our semi-annual collection for the Green Valley Community Food Bank will take place on Monday, October 31.
- You may place items in the bins in the lobby.
- There will be a jar for cash/check/credit card donations.
- Please make checks payable to Green Valley Food Bank. Monetary donations are appreciated since this allows the Food Bank to buy over $9 worth of food for each dollar donated.
- Items that are especially needed include: peanut butter, canned tuna/chicken/beef/ham, cereal, rice/pasta, soup, canned fruit, juice, condiments, crackers, snacks.
- The Food Bank can accept canned food up to 1 year past date on can and up to 6 months past date on packaged food.
- Personal care items are always welcome too.
2017 Membership Renewals
2017 Applications for new members and renewals for current members will be available at the October 31 brunch or you may go directly to the website to complete the «application». You may bring your renewal to the brunch, mail to Patti Giannasi at 1232 N. Rams Head Road, or place in the Women of Quail Creek box at Patti’s front door. «map»
Raising $$ for $cholarships for Sahuarita and Walden Grove High Schools
You can help invest in the future by attending the Gatekeepers concert and silent auction on Saturday, November 5 at the District Auditorium (350 W. Sahuarita Road.) The doors open at 3:00 p.m. for the auction. The concert begins at 4:00 p.m.
The Gatekeepers will provide an exciting concert of patriotic music, a salute to veteran’s week. Their concert can become a spontaneous sing-along. It is bound to be great fun for everyone! Forty-three items are being featured at the silent auction. There is something for everyone… pet owners, golfers, fashion conscious ladies, artists, readers, home project fans, spa fanciers and more.
Gatekeepers Concert: November 5, 4:00 p.m. · Tickets are $10 per person, $20 per family.
Basketball Challenge: November 10, 6:00 p.m. · Sahuarita High School (350 W. Sahuarita Road). Doors open at 5:00 for a sports themed silent auction. Tickets are $3 (seniors, military, veterans), $5 adults, $20 family.
Of course you can attend both events and honor veterans while raising money for scholarships!
Tickets for both fund-raiser events can be purchased on Monday, Oct. 31 at 10:00 a.m. (Madera Lobby) prior to TWOQC brunch.

The Perfect Wrap
“The Perfect Wrap” will be on display and available for purchase at the October 31 brunch. Be thinking about how many you might need for gifts as well as one for yourself! Each wrap is $20 and all proceeds will be donated to YOTO.

Help Stock Yoto’s Mini-Mall
Homeless students enrolled in the Yoto program may visit the “Mini-Mall” once a week for up to 10 lbs. of food, clothing, toiletries, and school supplies. The Mini-Mall is 100% stocked through the generosity of the community but they are sadly running low on several key items.
If you would like to help, the list of key items in need can be accessed by clicking on the ✔checkmark. Items may be brought to the Oct. 31 brunch next Monday.
HO HO HO – “O Christmas Tree”
Gather your friends and neighbors to celebrate this beautiful holiday season. Enjoy a delicious lunch of turkey and trimmings while being entertained with familiar Christmas songs.
- Tickets for our Christmas luncheon will be sold this Monday at our brunch.
- Cost is $20.00 for members and $25 for guests.
Tickets go fast, so get yours on Monday!
Donations for Veterans
Both wall and pocket calendars as well as greeting/note cards are needed for the hospitalized veterans. Those being hospitalized long-term and those living in the nursing home facility really appreciate getting them. Please bring them to the brunch on October 31 and place them and any unopened travel sized toiletries for the homeless veterans on the table in the back of the ballroom.
Coupons
Coupons for the National Guard should expire December 12 or later. Coupons for overseas should expire September 1 or later. Coupons may be dropped off at Judy Poffenbarger’s at 2390 E. Bluejay Bluff Lane (map) or Peggy Richmond’s at 2731 E. Eba Court (map) at any time. Both have a box by their front doors. And coupons may be left on one of the tables at the back of the ballroom on October 31. «PREPPING COUPONS»
