The photo book is such an awesome tool to recognize your fellow members. Come photo-ready to the December luncheon and your head-shot will be added to the member photo book of paid members for 2017. To view the photo book, click here: «Photo Book featuring 175 members».

Stuff the Truck

food-bank-donationsTWOQC has an opportunity to assist the Green Valley/Sahuarita Food Banks for Christmas. As many of you know the food bank ran out of food last month at least once and had to shut their doors early. One of our members has met with the food bank and they will work a joint effort with TWOQC to accept donations in the West parking lot between the Madera Clubhouse and the CATC building on December 17 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.  You can “drive-thru” and volunteers will unload it for you.

The following items will be accepted:

  • Perishable Food (frozen only)
  • Non-perishable Food
  • Hygiene items (diapers-baby and adult; soap, shampoo, dish soap, laundry detergent)
  • Baby Food
  • Monetary donations will be gladly accepted (just $9 gives 1 family a meal)

♦ Diane Quinn is looking for a few people who are interested in helping with the YOTO committee. Please contact her at «yoto@womenqc.com». »»UPDATE: Dec. 6 — Thank you to all who responded so quickly. At this time we do not need additional volunteers for the Yoto Committee.

holiday-music-to-enjoy_sidebar-2016Holiday Music to Enjoy!

There are 22 Christmas songs for you to enjoy in the left sidebar of the website. The songs will play while having TWOQC’s website open in your browser window (see ♦NOTE below).

  • To begin, simply single-click on any of the songs in the Music Player.
  • Adjust the volume on the Music Player’s volume bar.
  • After a song plays, the next song in line will automatically begin.
  • Once the last song on the list finishes, the first song will automatically play and the list will be repeated unless “stopped”.
  • You may select an individual song to play with a single-click on the song title.
  • To stop the music entirely, single-click on the double-vertical lines as indicated in the graphic.

Total run-time for the entire list to play once is approximately 60 minutes. Don’t forget to turn up the volume on your device. Enjoy!  ♦NOTE: The Music Player will stop playing as you navigate through the website. To prevent this from happening, open 2 browser windows with TWOQC website in each: keep one open while playing the music, and use the other to peruse the website. Questions? Contact: «webmaster@womenqc.com».

remember-our-vetsDonations for Veterans

Fashion Show – The Power of Purple: February 24, 2017

2017 fashion show_power of purple

I know – It’s not even Christmas yet and we are already talking about the Fashion Show! It isn’t until February but it doesn’t come together overnight and it takes all of us to make it successful. TWOQC Power of Purple luncheon and fashion show profits benefit the local American Cancer Society Research and Development.

Tickets are $25 and will be on sale in the Madera lobby:

  • December 12 · 11:00 am just prior to the holiday luncheon
  • December 16 · 6:30 pm

Items to be added to raffle baskets for the fashion show and lunch are needed to make this event fantastic! Ideas would be:

  • small items to combine for baskets for the kitchen, home office, decorative items;
  • things for the outdoors (BBQ, small yard art – which might be individually raffled);
  • perhaps that special item you knew you would love… got it home and never used it.

A drop off box (on a bench) is placed on the front porch at the home of Carol Shelton, 2415 E. Overview Lane (map). You may contact Carol Shelton at 398-3261 and leave message or by email at «fashionshow@womenqc.com». «Stay tuned: Fashion Show»
