JAVELINA HOEDOWN on October 9 – Important Updates Are Here!
HOEDOWN TICKETS, GOING FAST! Tickets for the Javelina Hoedown are selling quickly. As of today, there are a limited number of full tables left so if you are planning on groups of six or more, contact the Activities Coordinator at activities@womenqc.com ASAP!
Tickets for the Hoedown, the Trager Smoker, Hoedown Quail Glasses, and the 50/50 Raffle will be on sale at the TWOQC Membership Program on August 30th. Additional sales times will be at the Grill so please check the What’s Happening email and TWOQC’s website (womenqc.com) for updates. What IS a Hoedown? Hoedown Volunteer Invitation
TWOQC is revving up the 2021 party season with our first big public event, the Javelina Hoedown on October 9th at 4:30 PM. Hopefully you are already aware of the event and that you & your friends have purchased tickets to attend.
Before you can really enjoy the party, you know how important it is to feel like you helped to make it all a success. The Funding & Giving Committee would like to invite TWOQC members to help us make this another special event that will be remembered and talked about until next year. Please consider volunteering as we need hostesses to help other guests find their seats, locate the Raffle Baskets, Silent Auction, the restrooms, and so on. JOIN THE SCHOLARSHIP TEAM
Have an interest in helping young women reach their educational goals? The Scholarship Team welcomes new members! We’re now preparing for a new application season when we will have the opportunity to meet some inspiring women for whom our assistance could make a big difference in their lives.
The Scholarship Team annually receives a number of applications from women in our community seeking financial assistance to enroll in college work or technical/professional training. Our program serves young women about to graduate from high school, but also women at a transition point in their lives, who want to return to the classroom to finish a degree or complete further training. Our most active time is January through May, with interviews of applicants and awards made in April. Some Team members also serve year-round as mentors to those to whom we’ve made scholarship awards.
