TWOQC VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Volunteering is a wonderful way to meet new friends!

♥ TWOQC has an opportunity for someone who would like to serve for the year 2018 on the board as 2nd VP/Membership. You would not be alone. There are many members that enjoy helping to greet and assist with membership. To learn more about this opportunity contact Carol at «president@womenqc.com».

♥ We need two volunteers to take orders for TWOQC t-shirts and visors at the table at our monthly programs. Please contact Carol at «president@womenqc.com» for more information.

♥ Volunteers are needed for the VA Clothing Drive, Saturday, October 21 for about 3 hours. You will be helping to sort, inventory and pack donated clothing, household items, kitchen, accessories, shoes, toiletries, calendars, pet items and more. OCTOBER MEMBERSHIP BRUNCH

If you have not purchased your seat for the Membership Brunch on the 30^th of October at 11:00, you may contact Nancy Jacobs at (970) 946-3910 for a seat. Tickets are $10 for members and $20 for first time guests. Access the «membership brunch seating chart» showing the available tables/seats.

BRUNCH MENU: Egg salad filled croissant, melon salad and an apple crumb cupcake with goblin glaze. The special drink will be a Black Russian with spider on the side.

Remember the 30^th is near Halloween so wear a costume if you like, or ghoulish black and orange colors. Nancy will also be selling seats at the September 25th program. Hope to see all of you there.

THANKS FOR HELPING YOTO

A big thank you goes out to all the members who have given school supplies, mini-mall items and cash to help support «Youth on Their Own». As the school year begins the need still remains so feel free to keep contributing to the bin in the clubhouse.

When Daniel Armenta comes to speak to the membership on September 25 we will end the school supply campaign so plan to bring at least a little something to contribute to the school supply drive that evening. YOTO so appreciates what we can give.

VETERAN’S CLOTHING DRIVE: October 21

A big “thank you” to all TWOQC members for their donations of toiletries and clothing to the veteran’s homeless program. Also thank you to Laura Colbert and Angie Werner for delivering twenty-five pounds of toiletries, along with clothing and other items that were collected Monday evening. The toiletries were greatly appreciated as their bins were getting low.

A specific thank you to Joan Hay for bringing three car seats and some baby clothes to help support our female homeless veterans who recently had their babies. These items were compliments of White Elephant.

We received a nice «thank you from the VA» for the baby basket and Mom’s bag, compliments of Sue Ann Obremski for the formerly homeless mom who had her baby girl prematurely. She was overwhelmed with joy by our kindness.

Fall will soon be in the air and that means it is time to clean out those closets, drawers and cupboards so you can donate items to the Homeless Veterans. The «VA Clothing Drive» will be on Saturday, October 21^st from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. Here is a «list of needed items». OKTOBERFEST GALA TICKETS: October 29

Thanks to all who bought tickets at the program on Monday evening for the «Oktoberfest» on October 29 at 4:00 p.m.

We have eleven full tables of 10 left for ladies who want to get a table with their neighbors. There are numerous spots left for two or three couples. One does not have to be a member to attend. To order tickets at $30 each, please contact Peggy at «pastpresident@twoqc.com».
