TWOQC Launches Groupworks!

Ladies, Get Ready for Some Fun in 2021! TWOQC are launching a new way to stay connected. On Tuesday, February 2, we will launch our members only, Groupworks group. Groupworks is a free club management platform that simplifies member communications, handles event scheduling, collects payments, and frees up quality time for group leaders and members to do more of what we love, having FUN! Many of our QC Units and clubs already use Groupworks to stay in touch.

On February 2, you will receive an email from Sandra DInnocenti, inviting you to join TWOQC on Groupworks.

If you are already a Groupworks member with other groups/clubs, you will simply login and accept the invitation, and TWOQC will be added to your groups’ list.

If you are new to Groupworks, the email will give you login information that you will use to create your own Groupworks account. If you are not confident when it comes to computers, no problem. A training manual was emailed to you on January 26. We will also hold a live Zoom training on Friday, February 5 at 10 AM, where you can get the help you need. This is an exciting new step for TWOQC, we hope you will join us!

For questions, email Sandy at groupworks@womenqc.com.

More New Programs

Sign up for some lively February fun, compliments of your Programs Committee! February may be the dreariest month of the year where many of us hail from, but here in southern Arizona, the sun always shines, and fun knows no season.

Tues., February 16 – 10 AM: For those dreaming about their spring gardens, Charlene Westgate of Westgate Garden Design will be offering advice on pruning desert plants.  She will have lots of great photos to share as she talks about the timing and techniques of pruning in our desert climate. There is no charge for this Zoom program, but you do need to make a reservation! PROGRAM DETAILS

Mon., February 22 – 1 PM: The Trivia Challenge will be returning for another round of friendly competition and general silliness. If you’ve never attended a trivia event, this is your chance to get your feet wet and your humor restored while meeting some new people. No cost. Reservation required. PROGRAM DETAILS

♥ Congratulations to TWOQC’s first Trivia Challenge Champs of the Month! Connie Vaughan, Janice Messer, Tessie Hagerich, and Carol Shelton pulled off a come-from-behind win on Monday evening to earn the coveted title. This photo features Sharon Pulcinella, Programs Director & Trivia Master, and the four winners. Click/tap the photo to enlarge.

Sign up today for this On-The-Go excursion in Groupworks! Reservation deadline: Feb. 16th. New to Groupworks and need help? Contact Sandy, TWOQC GW Administrator.

Thurs., February 18 – Tucson Museum Tour: Step back in time for a tour of Tucson’s, Ignite Sign Art Museum, a quirky and fascinating neon historic sign museum. MORE INFO

UPDATE 2/2/2021 — Reservations for this event will begin after February 12.

Wine & Books: Calling all bibliophiles! Coming February 23 is a book sharing and wine event just for you! Are you a book lover who has read books so exceptional you couldn’t part with them?  We want to know about those special titles and what they meant to you.

Access THIS LINK for updates and details.

Please make reservations for all events by emailing the Activities Coordinator (activities@womenqc.com). If you do not receive an email confirmation within 48-hours of making your reservation, contact Bobbi (520-625-9353).

Connecting with Our Community

COMMUNITY NEEDS:

Women Warriors could use kitchen items and bed and bath linens for a female veteran who was just moved into permanent housing last week.

Valley Assistance Services is in need of a printer for its WorkForce lab where unemployed persons can prepare job applications and resumes. They also need a vacuum cleaner for a client.

Please take any donations for both organizations to Peggy McGee’s house, 1908 E Longspur Place on February 3. She will deliver them to the respective charity.

Membership

Please welcome our newest members, Mary Ann Garman and Becky Payne.

If you are in doubt whether you have renewed your membership for 2021, please contact Alphie Smith (520-347-6022 or membership@womenqc.com).
