∴ PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE ∴
The Women of Quail Creek’s Executive Board took a break and didn’t meet in July. Now we are back working on projects for TWOQC. We’re updating our accounting system, revisiting the Bylaws for necessary changes, and establishing policies for grants and other monetary donations. In addition, the members of TWOQC held a very successful Teacher’s Shower as you can see below. We’re selling raffle tickets for the Jim Click raffle, planning for another fundraising Javelina Hoedown, putting together more Small Groups and fun membership meetings, and planning for the Pajama Heart Project for December. We’ve added many new members as we continue to grow. As you can see, TWOQC is moving in a great direction. I want to thank the members for making this an outstanding organization.
The TWOQC Funding and Giving Committee will be having their annual Hoedown for Scholarships on the 26th of October at the Madera Clubhouse. There will be the usual Basket Raffles and Silent Auction with just a small change in our 50/50 Raffle. This year we will be offering the 50/25/25 Raffle along with the Jim Click Raffle Tickets. Click/tap the Dancing Javelina flyer for the menu and more info!
GET YOUR JAVELINA HOEDOWN TICKETS!
First ticket sales for this event will be on the 29th of August from 5:30 to 6:30 PM in the Madera Clubhouse Lobby. We will continue announcing additional ticket sales dates on the website homepage and the Funding & Giving page. (Check back frequently for updates!)
PLEASE NOTE: August 29th was the kick-off for the Hoedown ticket sales (Javelina Hoedown event, 50/25/25 raffle, and Jim Click raffle). Future ticket sales dates will be announced. The Basket raffle tickets will be available at a later date, as well.
Mark your calendars and get your country on! The Dancing Javelina and the Funky Chicken, as well as all of us, will be looking forward to seeing you there. TWOQC members do the Chicken Dance (2021 Hoedown») · Learn the Chicken Dance (video clip variation»)

∴ SCHOOL TEACHERS SUPPLY SHOWER = SUCCESS! ∴
Thanks to the generosity of Club members and many Quail Creek residents, the Community Outreach Committee held a very successful shower for the 21 elementary school teachers at Continental School on August 17.
Each teacher received two large bags, one with a variety of school supplies and the other with more practical items — Kleenex, paper towels, copy paper, and wipes. They were served carrot cake and Arnold Palmers while they celebrated.
This was the first time an outside group had ever “showered” them with gifts and the teachers really appreciated it. They were very surprised at the variety and number of gifts they received. (Click/tap photos to enlarge.)
∴ MEMBERS SECTION ∴ TWOQC’s GroupWorks™ (GW) members-only platform is where announcements, program & event details, and special messages from the President (Diane G.) may be found.
