∴ DIANE’S PRESIDENTS MESSAGE ∴
We are coming to the end of 2022 and it’s time to reflect on this year. The Women of Quail Creek’s year has been very successful. There were 97 events that included monthly meetings, small groups, and luncheons. We held two major fundraising events, one for our Scholarships raising over $15,000 and one for our local Green Valley and Sahuarita charities raising over $6,000. Our Community Outreach collected many items as outlined below. We look forward to 2023 and continuing our great work. Enjoy the Holidays with your family and friends.
∴ FUNDING & GIVING ∴
Application for Funding Support — UPDATE Jan. 1, 2023! The TWOQC Funding and Giving Committee proudly announces the start of our Application for Funding Support Form now available to all local 501(c)(3) applicants. Access the Funding Support Form. Visit the Funding & Giving page for more information.
The ending date for submission of this form will be the 31st of March 2023. Applicants that are selected will be considered by the Funding and Giving Committee and presented to the TWOQC Executive Board for final approval. The awarding of funds from the annual Fashion Show will be awarded by the first of May.
Please watch for additional announcements concerning the application process. Announcements may automatically appear here on our website homepage and in our site’s Sidebar.
∴ COMMUNITY OUTREACH ∴
Thanks to all who so generously contributed to the Angel Heart Pajama Project to support children being placed in foster care. The effort brought in $470 in monetary donations, 206 pairs of pajamas, and 191 books.
In 2022, the Community Outreach Committee also hosted a Clothing Swap that raised funds and enabled them to donate many clothing items to Hands of a Friend to support victims of domestic abuse in Genesis House; provided non-perishable healthy snacks for at-risk youth served at the Amado Youth Center; and hosted a teachers’ supply shower for the elementary school teachers at Continental School.
The generosity of members and Quail Creek residents to help the less fortunate is greatly appreciated.
∴ PROGRAMS & EVENTS ∴ Reservations generally open two weeks prior to each event. (Guest Policy) Photos or handouts may be available for post-events.

Thank you all for a very fulfilling 2 years as your Director of Programs. In those 2 years, our members enjoyed an astounding total of 168 events.
We saw the evolvement of several ongoing small groups: On-the-Go, In My Kitchen, Genealogy, Garden Group, The 3rd Friday Book Group, Topical Book Group, Rock Painting, and Connecting Over Coffee.
There were also many “one-time” small group events: craft projects, hikes, pickle ball, bocce ball, trivia, a show at CPAC, and other fun activities. We sponsored several Zoom events to keep our members connected and engaged during the isolating period of the COVID pandemic.
None of these small groups would have been possible without the willingness of our wonderful members to step up and offer their time and hospitality to host one or more events. My heartfelt gratitude goes to all 45 of those special ladies.
And a very special thank you goes to the amazing group of women who served with me on the Programs Committee. I am so grateful for your energy, creativity, and dedication to bringing our members together through a variety of social events. Most of all, I thank you for your friendship and love during my term.
