∴ DIANE’S PRESIDENTS MESSAGE ∴

spring is in the air clipartToday is the first day of Spring! The Women of Quail Creek is celebrating the season with wonderful events. The Members-Only Spring Fling Luncheon is today. The Programs Committee is planning a trip to Autumn Sage Winery in Elgin. The Community Outreach Committee is collecting supplies for low-income seniors in Green Valley. They are also collecting letters for veterans going on the Southern Arizona Honor Flight in April. The Funding and Giving Committee is selling the Jim Click raffle tickets for TWOQC charitable purposes. The Spring Fashion Show is set for May 17th. These are good reasons to join The Women of Quail Creek!

∴ COMMUNITY OUTREACH ∴

SUPPLIES NEEDED FOR SENIORS

SuppliesThe deadline for donating paper, cleaning or hygiene supplies for low-income seniors in Green Valley has been extended until March 25. If you haven’t had time to shop and still want to help, you may drop off donations at 1427 E Blue Granite Drive or 720 N Alexis Loop. Cash or checks payable to TWOQC with Senior Supplies in the Memo Line will be accepted at both addresses. You may also bring donations to the luncheon on March 20 and place them on the table in the hallway. Here’s a list of needed supplies. Questions: contact Peggy McGee (community@womenqc.com).

LETTERS FOR VETERANS GOING ON HONOR FLIGHT

rememberourveteransIf you have been meaning to write to one or more of the 70 veterans going on the Honor Flight to Washington, DC in late April, there are 12 more days to get them written. You can make a difference for these veterans who think they have been forgotten or that their service was not appreciated by writing them a letter or a note. You may choose to write the same message to each veteran, or write a personalized message. If you are unsure of what to write, please look at these examples.

Place each letter or note in an unsealed envelope. Bundle your letters and drop them in the collection box at 2719 E. Sawyer Road Quail Creek by Saturday, April 1.
