It would be “spooktacular” for you to come to the October 31 membership brunch photo-ready so your headshot can be added to the member photo book of paid members for 2017. (Sans costume for the headshot, of course.)

If you haven’t seen it just click on this link to the «photo book».

Raising $$ for $cholarships for Sahuarita and Walden Grove High Schools

You can help invest in the future by attending the Gatekeepers concert and silent auction on Saturday, November 5 at the District Auditorium (350 W. Sahuarita Road.) The doors open at 3:00 p.m. for the auction. The concert begins at 4:00 p.m.

The Gatekeepers will provide an exciting concert of patriotic music, a salute to veteran’s week. Their concert can become a spontaneous sing-along. It is bound to be great fun for everyone! Forty-three items are being featured at the silent auction. There is something for everyone… pet owners, golfers, fashion conscious ladies, artists, readers, home project fans, spa fanciers and more.

Gatekeepers Concert:  November 5, 4:00 p.m. · Tickets are $10 per person, $20 per family.

Basketball Challenge:  November 10, 6:00 p.m. · Sahuarita High School (350 W. Sahuarita Road). Doors open at 5:00 for a sports themed silent auction. Tickets are $3 (seniors, military, veterans), $5 adults, $20 family.

Of course you can attend both events and honor veterans while raising money for scholarships!

“The Perfect Wrap” will be on display and available for purchase at the October 31 brunch. Be thinking about how many you might need for gifts as well as one for yourself! Each wrap is $20 and all proceeds will be donated to YOTO.

If you are not familiar with YOTO please check out their «website». Check out the «wrap production» by several member volunteers.

yoto-items-in-needHelp Stock Yoto’s Mini-Mall

Homeless students enrolled in the Yoto program may visit the “Mini-Mall” once a week for up to 10 lbs. of food, clothing, toiletries, and school supplies. The Mini-Mall is 100% stocked through the generosity of the community but they are sadly running low on several key items.

If you would like to help, the list of key items in need can be accessed by clicking on the ✔checkmark. Items may be brought to the Oct. 31 brunch next Monday.

Both wall and pocket calendars as well as greeting/note cards are needed for the hospitalized veterans. Those being hospitalized long-term and those living in the nursing home facility really appreciate getting them. Please bring them to the brunch on October 31 and place them and any unopened travel sized toiletries for the homeless veterans on the table in the back of the ballroom.
